Author's Note: First person POV, no names. Title shamelessly stolen from Milton's Paradise Lost.
“Can't lay abed all day, Pet.”
His face is a study in languor, painted with warm drowsiness. He curls away from the light spilling into the room, hiding his face from the sun.
Sitting on the bed next to him, my hand finds its way under the comforter pooled at his waist. My fingers trail over his hip and move inward toward the one part of him that I know is already awake and ready to greet the day.
“Don't stop...please,” he begs, pillow muffling his voice.
“Oh, now you're awake?”
My hand moves slowly, deliberately, but doesn't stop.
